Smash Cake One Year | Peoria Illinois Photographer
Celebrating your child's first year by having a one year old smash cake session is so much fun.
Cake smash sessions are some of my favorites and I shoot them often; however, many clients have issues with coming up with inspiration and ideas for their session. The first thing I have clients do is ask themselves some questions.
- Do you want to match the party theme?
- Do you want to match a room where you want to display the images?
- Do you want something very simple?
And then, I tell them to go to Pinterest. Create a board of what jumps out and inspires you.
Here are some examples to get you started.
THEMED SMASHES -
These are sessions where clients have asked for very specific themes. They may have wanted certain backdrop colors, prop colors or specific props included.
Cake is not your cup of tea? Several food options can be substituted in place of a cake for smashing. How about a big bowl of ice cream, pile of donuts, cupcakes, cookies... I even had one little man eat spaghetti.
